Breaking through barriers: A story from MN High School Track

The following is a summary from the article 'Breaking Through Barriers' found on the Star Tribune Track Hub website.Mark Braun, a high school junior, is one of six athletes in Minnesota competing in the first track and field wheelchair division. Minnesota is one of 11 states offering wheelchair track and field at the high school level. There are currently three events in this division including the 800- and 1,600-meter races and shot put.

ADA National Network Launches Disability Rights Course

The ADA National Network recently launched a free, self-paced web course on federal disability rights laws. The course takes between 90 and 120 minutes to complete and has been approved to provide two continuing education clock hour credits from the Commission on Rehabilitation Councilor Certification.
