National Physical Activity Plan - public comment period - Sept. 25 - Oct. 31, 2014

In support of the National Physical Activity Plan Alliance (The Alliance), all IFC members are invited to participate in a brief survey regarding the update and revision of the National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP).  Please participate to ensure that people with disability and inclusive fitness opportunities are represented in the NPAP.

In the coming months, the National Physical Activity Plan will be celebrating its 5th anniversary. Since its launch, the National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP) has acted as a roadmap to policy makers and advocates to create a more physically active nation. The NPAP is a document comprised of 240+ evidence-based recommendations for change in the policies and systems that guide the environments in which all American’s live, work, learn, play, and commute.

Over the past 5 years the field of physical activity and public health has continued to evolve and the time to review and update the National Physical Activity Plan’s content and structure is here!

During this revision process The Alliance wants to hear from you:
•          How can we increase American’s physical activity levels?
•          What strategies should be prioritized to increase physical activity?
•          How can we ensure the success of the National Physical Activity Plan?

The Alliance is working hard to update and revise the Plan; however, the American public’s input and suggestions are important in this process. Public comment on the current version of the Plan will be solicited from September 25 - October 31.

Thank you for you feedback.
