U.S. Paralympics / United States Olympic Committee

Brief Description of Your Organization's Activities::

The mission of the U.S. Olympic Committee is to support United States Olympic and Paralympic athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence while preserving the Olympic ideals, and to thereby inspire all Americans.

U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is dedicated to becoming the world leader in the Paralympic sports movement and to promoting excellence in the lives of persons with physical disabilities.
U.S.Paralympics coordinates the preparation, selection, and support of teams representing the United States at the Paralympic Games and other major international Paralympic competitions.  With our partner National Governing Bodies and other Paralympic-specific organizations, U.S. Paralympics leads the ongoing development and support of U.S. National Team programs in 24 Paralympic sports.

U.S. Paralympics also contributes to the creation, awareness and recognition of Paralympic-style sports clubs, clinics, and competitions. Through the Paralympic Academy, the USOC Paralympic Military Program and other initiatives, U.S. Paralympics encourages and facilitates the participation of individuals with physical disabilities in sports and physical activity.
