The MGN Family Foundation goals are to make grants in the fields of education, health care, medical research, and children's programs, and to help those in the U.S. Military, including their families.

It is the intent of the Foundation to award grants based on achievement, excellence, influence, impactful work, or leadership in a specific field of charitable endeavor.

All applicants must have the financial ability to sustain the funded program or project on a continuing basis.

Applicants must provide evidence of such leadership, excellence, or impactful work by notating such within the application or attachments at the time of submission. The foundation desires to recognize and reward organizations making a measurable difference in their communities and the lives of its constituents. The examples provided below reflect the true mission and goals of the MGN Foundation. Institutions and areas of particular interest include:

  • Hospitals and clinics - Examples include medical facilities that specialize in excellent patient care and continuing medical research, such as the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Mayo Clinic, and The Cleveland Clinic. Other examples include hospice organizations that provide palliative care to the dying.
  • Organizations that support children in need whether due to emotional or physical abuse, neglect, or disadvantaged circumstances. Support can be for basic necessities such as food, shelter, education, and medical attention, as well as for spiritual and emotional counseling.
  • Community welfare with a specific focus on U. S. Military personnel and their families - Examples include those organizations that give support to the unique needs of the military, in light of the recent events surrounding the turn of this century.
