National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC)

NARIC is dedicated to providing direct, personal, and high-quality information services to the disability and rehabilitation community. Their goal is to link patrons to the information they need to conduct research, provide services, or simply live independently.

NARIC collects and disseminates the results of federally funded research on a wide range of disability and rehabilitation issues. They maintain a collection of more than 75,000 literature abstracts and an accompanying collection of more than 40,000 documents, from which they provide document delivery services. Information specialists provide custom database searches and free information and referral through a toll-free information line, email, and chat-based reference services.
