Unite 2 Fight Paralysis

Brief Description of Your Organization's Activities::

Unite 2 Fight Paralysis is an advocacy organization that provides tools & resources for people living with paralysis to become more visible and vocal in the movement to create therapies that will restore function and health to the body. Unite 2 Fight Paralysis organizes an event each year titled "Working 2 Walk". This event functions as an annual Science & Advocacy symposium that brings together research scientists, practitioners and consumers for an exchange of information and ideas aimed at improving health and advancing therapies.

The mission at Unite 2 Fight Paralysis is to unite individuals affected by paralysis and empower them to advocate effectively for therapies that restore physical ability. The organization hopes to serve as a catalyst for uniting the paralysis community and accelerating the advancement of therapies that will restore health and function to get people with paralysis moving.

The main focus of the organization is on advocacy - in the community, media, and legislative arenas. The organization works to provide resources, tools, information and activities to strengthen the movement. Unite 2 Fight Paralysis has published an Advocacy Toolkit and is working on a Fundraising Toolkit. They also host Bridges 2 Hope, an online collection of stories from the paralysis community that gives voice and visibility to individuals living with paralysis.Unite 2 Fight Paralysis Logo
